Wiki is an online tool that is great for teachers to use in the classroom. Essentially it is a place where the teacher can open projects and allow for students to contribute and edit it. It allows for the students in a classroom to not only take in the information they are being given, but to also contribute to the compilation of the lesson and the material that they are learning. It is a great tool for classroom participation. It allows each student to be engaged and to contribute to the project. It can be hard because anyone can contribute anything to the project, but as long as proper expectations are assigned it can be easily monitored. It can be used for research projects like researching an author or a book. It can even be used for scientific projects.

Introduction
Hi! My name is Mary Claire Groves. I love Jesus and people! I hope to one day be a teacher because of my love for children and school. Since I was in 5th grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I love my family and friends and enjoy Sunday afternoons! I am involved in the leadership team of my college ministry here at LSU, the refuge and a part of the Kappa Delta sorority.
I am hoping and expecting to learn more practical skills in this class that will help me be a lifelong learner. Technology is constantly advancing, and so I am excited to learn more about it. Not only am I excited to learn more about it, but I am also excited to learn how I can use it one day in the classroom. I love getting to create new things, so creating a blog and a website is so exciting to me. I look forward to continuing to learn in this class!
